Lately I've...
…discovered The Library at the Public hotel. I don’t know how I missed it when we went to the Pump Room last month, but I did. The Library is the perfect place for morning coffee, afternoon reading & some tea, or late night drinks (calmer and cozier than the Pump Room in the evening). Sis had the right idea - see you again this weekend Public.

He wanted nothing from the wilderness but space to breath in and space to push...
– -via the film SOLITAIRE that I saw tonight
This statement really stuck with me. Really craving a trip away from the city into the true wilderness for a chance to just focus on breathing and pushing through
Thankful for naps. Just completed the first of the day ( post breakfast, post turkey trot), next to dad on our favorite chair watching the Golf Channel. Classic (I love golf but it always puts me to sleep!). Let’s hope that eating turkey and all the other glorious side dishes (my favorites are the stuffed artichokes) doesn’t send me into a second nap of the day. Ready for some time...
Walking through the city, music on, volume up is honestly one of my favorite...
– my big sis, DPC
This is one of my favorite things about city living. Tune out the external noise, roll to your own beat (playlist), and move through the city.
Looking forward to starting off a few mornings this way when I get to visit you in NY next month, and in the meantime, I’ll continue...
No. 25 Baylor beats No. 5 OU for 1st time, 45-38
An amazing game; a Baylor win against OU. I watched the entire game with a great crew of 15 Baylor alums, both young and old, at our new official school pub for game day in Chicago that now adorns a green Baylor flag outside. I knew none of these people before attending the watch party and am pretty stoked about the awesome group that showed up. I’ve missed my Baylor community, but these...
my soon-to-be new next door neighbor?
The Rink at Wrigley. Walked past the set up last night and am excited to go skating (multiple times). Welcome winter festivities. Get there - Nov 25-Feb 27.
I have very good news. I have two awesome friends. One, named Jessica, started interning at my office this summer a week within my start date. She had just graduated from university in May, like me, and we quickly became friends discovering post-grad life in the great city of Chicago together. In October Jessica got a full time offer from a great company and had to leave mine, but luckily her...
Just went on my first brewery tour ever! Very informative and interesting. Yazoo Brewing Co in Nashville. Thank you sister for being an engineering major and the Vandy chemical engineering club for sponsoring our tour and free visit. I tried the hop project (fun fact-it’s been a different recipe every time they’ve brewed it).
Today is the day of free things. We’re really...
I’ll quote the message I received from my younger sister this morning: “get ready for YOGA, HOLIDAY TUNES, FALL-ing LEAVES, FANTASTIC FOODS and FRATTY PARTIES!!” Alright now, I can get on board with this. My sister Andrea does college (senior year) well.
On the way to Midway now (cutting my flight very close) & looking forward to a long weekend with my sis filled with all...
warby parker + SUNO
warby parker + SUNO have joined forces to create a limited edition collection of shades with SUNO prints & I love the outcome. My favorite is the Thatcher in Geo Lanyard. The only problem is that I was already planning on purchasing the Thatchers in greystone when I visit NY next month and now I’m torn. Decisions, decisions.
an ensemble of black + chartreuse, with neutral shades of brown and grey. I can dig it.

(P.S. anytime I see a photo of Lucy I am instantly reminded of pictures I’ve seen of my mom during her high school days. Maybe that’s why I like Lucy-let’s just call her the modern-day version of a young Heidi).
Ladies in blue-Andrea, mom, Danielle + me. And we didn’t even plan to match!
Mom + dad killing it on the dance floor. I caught them in the middle of the dance. Pure joy!
Cousin Johnny’s wedding. Singer Island, Florida. 10.29.11
Last Wednesday three girlfriends and I met up at Barrelhouse Flat for a drink after work. I’d read about the new cocktail venue created by Stephen Cole (previously of The Violet Hour) and was excited to check it out on week two that they were open for business. We met up around 7:30pm that night and it was pretty slow. Granted it was a Wednesday, but the downstairs had only two tables...
We don't have to talk everyday.
cdeeezy:
I love those type of friendships that don’t require a lot of effort. We may not see each other as much as we want to or talk as much as we used to, but it doesn’t change the fact that we’re friends no matter what. They can do their own thing and I can do my own thing. What’s important is that whenever we do see each other again, we can pick up right from where we left off without making...

in search of the perfect cape
I’ve been in search of a cape all fall. Is this it (L)? Is this it (R)? Yes, no, recs? Share your thoughts. Please and thank you.
