Chicago Restaurant Scene: Nellcôte
I’m intrigued to check out a soon-to-be-open restaurant called Nellcôte in the West Loop after reading about a sneak peek that Beth from Tres Bien Ensemble recently had of the space.
The restaurant just began taking reservations by phone & OpenTable on their website an hour ago. Snag yourself a table for opening week before they fill up, I already have!

So I’ve been thinking about the idea of going red for a while now. Have never died my hair from its natural brown, yet I’m ready for a (temporary) change. Not sure if I could pull off the shades of red with my olive skin tone, but I’m thinking about being bold and going for it-it’s worth a shot!
Some lovely inspiration via Bryce, Deborah, Ashlee + Blake. Yay or nay?

on the radar: Uncharted Books
Uncharted Books sounds really interesting-it’s a used bookstore in Logan Square that’s been open for a little over a month (funded by Kickstarter!). Best described from their about page on their tumblr:

On April 26, 2011 I was fortunate enough to attend the Austin show (5th stop out of 6) on the Railroad Revival Tour. It was an amazing day of musical magic shared with a great friend Samantha (we went through a lot to get those tickets!). Hours of music performed in the Texas heat by Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes, & Old Crow Medicine Show, what an amazing day it...
Tired from a day of travel and still recovering from a cold that unfortunately began the day the vacation started, I’m spending the evening in the burbs with my parents recovering and catching up on some of our favorite shows on the DVR before we call it a night. I’m not ready to return to the real world tomorrow after spending 5 great days in Beaver Creek, but had to share my...

Valentine's Day
Today was a wonderful day. I got some great news at work: my team won an exciting new project and I found out that I’ll be going on my first client presentation this spring. Exciting indeed! Feels like my hard work is paying off and I’m looking forward to what’s to come.
Also, just had a lovely single girl Valentine’s Day. A serene 5 mile bike ride home from work...
these past few weeks 2012 has started off pretty rocky. I’ve been working long hours, cranking out lots of reports, and handling all the major bumps in the road that seem to appear each day. I’ve learned to take life day by day lately and combat adversity with strength. My team is losing one of our great team members to another company after tomorrow and the news came as a surprise and...

You may love them or you hate them, but I fall very close to the ‘love’ end of the spectrum when it comes to rompers & jumpsuits. On a summer weekend you’ll often find me donning my favorite casual floral or chambray rompers, however I haven’t found a more formal jumpsuit I love enough to bring into the evenings and the colder months. Then came this Rebecca Taylor...
