Valentine’s Day

Today was a wonderful day. I got some great news at work: my team won an exciting new project and I found out that I’ll be going on my first client presentation this spring. Exciting indeed! Feels like my hard work is paying off and I’m looking forward to what’s to come.
Also, just had a lovely single girl Valentine’s Day. A serene 5 mile bike ride home from work tonight. I love when it’s dark and quiet out, and I can just let my mind wander on a leisurely ride. So happy that the Chicago winter is mild enough that I can bicycle commute almost every day! Made a quick trip to the grocery to pick up items for homemade tacos of sorts (actually quinoa, ground turkey w/ taco seasoning, tomatoes & avocado—as a few friends and I are taking a stab at a Paleo diet). Some hot tea, catching up on a few shows on the DVR, and laundry (because I need clean workout gear for our ski trip this weekend).
Happy Valentines Day. Spread the love.
P.S. I really love this felt heart garland. It makes me happy. Image & how-to via Made By Rae
