This is exactly how I feel about why I have this blog. I’ve never considered myself a good writer, never even enjoyed writing that much. But I do trust in my taste, my thoughts, my instincts, my lessons learned, and my advice. I can sense slow growth in my writing, yet know it’s not even close to reaching the potential I know I have. Realize your potential (in everything) and hold onto it, don’t quit. It will probably take years for one’s work to ‘have this special thing that we want it to have’ & that’s OK.
So friends, let’s keep writing, keep growing + improving. Making progress slowly but surely. Don’t get discouraged, just continue to produce a volume of work and soon you will ‘close that gap and your work will be as good as your ambitions.’
